Brendan Hoyle - Artistic Director
Brendan Hoyle has spent the last ten years working in the Hampton Roads theater community. Recent directing credits include "Reefer Madness the Musical," "Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson," Virginia Stage Company's 2012 and 2013 "All the World's a Stage" galas, "Urinetown: The Musical," “The Drowsy Chaperone,” “The Importance of Being Earnest,” "Closer," and “I Ought to be in Pictures." Acting credits include Eugene Jerome ("Biloxi Blues" and "Broadway Bound"), Christopher Wren ("The Mousetrap"), Romeo (Romeo and Juliet), and Matthew of the Mint ("The Threepenny Opera"). Brendan has served as both the Director of CULTIVATE and the Director of Community Engagement at Virginia Stage Company and the Artistic Director of the Little Theatre of Norfolk. Brendan currently works at Norfolk Collegiate as the Director of the Hackney Theater, a beautiful 460-seat theater in the heart of Norfolk. He is a 2003 graduate of Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, NY.
Tara Hoyle - Managing Director
Tara Hoyle relocated to Hampton Roads thirteen years ago. As a classically trained mezzo-soprano, she has performed with Virginia Opera in over twenty productions as a chorister, cover, comprimario artist, and supernumerary. Favorite productions include "Die Fledermaus," "La Traviata," "Orphee," and "Pirates of Penzance." Tara also performed the role of The Witch in "Into the Woods" at Little Theater of Norfolk. She has also spent over 10 years in executive administration for two Fortune 500 companies. Tara graduated mangna cum laude from Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance in 1998. She began her Masters at Indiana University.
